SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Evening Event Facilitator is to set up, supervise, support, and monitor evening events such as athletic events, performances, and concerts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with students
- Previous work with students, staff, and school community
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all the district’s policies and procedures
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up before and clean up after events for winter sports, concerts, or performances (e.g., Baseball, Softball, Track, Soccer, band concerts, choir concerts, plays / musicals, Community Rentals)
- Run scoreboard or take tickets – for events (e.g., Baseball, Softball, Track, Soccer, band concerts, choir concerts, plays / musicals, Community Rentals)
- Coordinate Volunteers
- Coordinate with Custodians when cleaning or supplies are needed during events
- Ushering officials into facility before event and out after event
- Ability to run sub-varsity events from start to finish if needed
- Maintains and communicates appropriately with students, staff, and community for the purpose of building relationships.
- Utilizes and operates standard district/school technology (e.g., email, telephone, computer, etc.) for the purpose of improved communications and job efficiencies.
- Understands and implements Board of Education Policy, Administrative Guidelines, and organizational practices for the purpose of consistency and compliance.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises students, event staff, and works with custodians to ensure cleanliness of facilities for various events.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several
abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to
communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all
district requirements and Board of Education policies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, see, and talk or
hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift
and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision.
The demands of extended workdays (coverage of building activities and extra-curricular activities, etc.) requires a
high level of physical endurance. This job requires the ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same
time.
