POSITION:
Lunchroom Supervisor

SALARY:
$15.00 per hour - approximately 2.75 hours/day (e.g. 10:30am – 1:15 pm)
This position does not report on half days of school
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children
- Previous work with elementary age students, staff and school community
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all the district’s policies and procedures
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises students at lunchtime – in the lunchroom and on the playground
- Provide supervision and direction to students entering and leaving the lunchroom
- Direct student dismissal to and from lunch serving lines
- Assists with lunchroom clean-up
- Promotes school rules in lunchroom
- Works with students to settle disputes in a peaceful manner
- Reports student injuries to school office
- Must maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding information pertaining to student problems/behaviors
Supervisory Responsibilities
The position is responsibility for the supervision of students (e.g. individual and small/large groups).

Language Skills
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents, instructions and correspondence. Clearly and concisely communicate (orally and in written form) information in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings to students, parents, community members and employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense knowledge and understanding of situations to carry out oral and written instructions. Utilizes situational awareness and reasoning to solve problems that involve few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of district requirements and Board of Education policies and administrative guidelines.
