Job Description: 

Richmond Community Schools will offer Credit Recovery for any student need to make up a failed credit required for graduation. Students will utilize Edgenuity Imagine Learning credit attainment program. The mentor is responsible for supervising the class and communicating with students at least 2 times per week on their course. Mentor must be highly motivated to assist struggling students to successfully complete courses. The mentor will host at least 4 hours of in person “office hours” during the length of the program and be available asynchronously for student communication for an additional 3 hours per week.

Report to: Billie Sczepaniak, Director of Curriculum and Educational Services 

 

Teacher Hours:

4 hours in person per week; set schedule determined by supervisor and mentor before program start date 

2 hours asynchronous support per week; set schedule determined by supervisor and mentor before program 

(42 total hours) 

 

Teacher Days:

Student Program Dates: June 16-August 8; *No session week of June 30- July 4 (7 weeks)

It is imperative that chosen mentors are enthusiastic, positive professionals who possess the energy to make a difference in student learning in a short time. Mentor is expected to engage with students during in-person sessions to build rapport in order to support them in completing their course(s).  

 

Rate of Pay Note: $25/hour (per REA Contract) + $15/hour Bonus to Address Learning Loss = $40/hour
